Mr. Surendra Arya

Mr. Surendra Arya, the
Chairman of JBM group, one of the premier names in
India’s manufacturing and service sector, has over 25
years of experience in the Manufacturing industry. He is
the recipient of several national and international
awards.
After graduating in Science from Bombay University, Mr.
Surendra Arya joined family business of textiles and
construction owned by Jay Bharat Group of Companies.With
the experience, expertise and technical competence, Mr.
Arya launched his first independent venture, the Gurera
Gas Cylinders Limited – GGCL (now JBM Industries) in
1983, with the objective of diversifying and escalating
the Group’s activities.
In 1986, as part of the ongoing diversification program
of his business activities, Mr. Arya signed a joint
venture with Maruti Suzuki Limited (MSIL) to venture in
the auto component industry. This venture, Jay Bharat
Maruti Limited (JBML), is the largest Joint Venture of
MSIL in manufacturing of sheet metal components, Welded
Sub-assemblies, Exhaust Systems, Fuel Neck Fillers and
Axles.
With Mr Arya’s dynamic leadership, entrepreneurial
Skills and management incantations combined with his
extended vision of the market dynamics, Jay Bharat
Maruti Limited achieved a turnover of Rs.800 crores in
year 2009 and earned the distinction of providing 100
percent import substitution for sheet metal components,
assemblies and exhaust systems for Maruti Suzuki
Limited. JBML is a TS-16949 company certified by UL
India.
Mr. Arya’s passion, candidness and modesty can be seen
in his Clear-minded and sharp thinking. He has an
outstanding capability in commanding a highly
complicated circumstance with a down-to-earth and
rigorous manner. His leading from the front attitude,
has not only helped the group in manufacturing
excellence but has also resulted in receiving
prestigious certifications from global institutions.
The resume of the success story of this dauntless
entrepreneur’s vision is that, presently the Group is
the leader in manufacturing of sheet metal parts and
welded Assemblies, Exhaust Systems, Axles, High Tensile
Fasteners, Tubes, Special Purpose Vehicles and Waste
Management Services.
Mr. Surendra Arya’s emphasis on the training and
involvement of team results in complete cohesion in the
working of the functionaries. This attitude not only
assured the manufacturing of zero- defect products of
par excellence but also enabled the group to touch
annual turn over of USD 540 m in 2008-2009.
Under the patronage of Mr. Arya, the Group is presently
the pioneer in the production for all the OEMs of two
wheelers, three wheelers, cars, and commercial vehicles.
Almost every vehicle plying on Indian roads is fitted
with some parts manufactured by JBM Group. The Group
Also manufactures important accessories for Indian
Railways, Airport Authority of India and Defence
Ministry.
